How to prepare and make Chaga tea medicine

In this article I thought I would show you how to prepare and make chaga tea medicine. If you are unfamiliar with chaga tea I can say that it is a very interesting mushroom that grows on the bark tree. I got mine of a farmer that specialises in mushroom research and it’s benefits, one of his favourites is the chaga mushroom. The mushroom is amoung many things been used for cancer treatment and is also a great way to decalcify your pineal gland, you know the little eye in the middle of your scull that’s in charge of your intuition 😉 It seem to have a mind of its own, fixing things where it’s needed.

If you want to get hold of a good source of raw chaga straight from the woods of Norway. Please add a comment below and I will reach out to you with contact details.

How you prepare your Chaga mushroom

1. Cut the lump into smaller peaces

Some prefer to use dice size of lumps, but I prefer to ground it to as small as I can. You can use different things but I usually cut with a kitchen knife to get smaller lumps and from there I use pestle and mortar to get smaller powder.

2. Boil the powder in water

Mix around 2 – 4 table spoons of chaga powder to boiling 2 – 4 liters of water. Let it boil for around 2 – 4 hours. It has to boil for a period of time to change molecular structure to change to its medicinal effects. The more you let it boil the more concentrated the batch will be. Usually I try to make it as concentrated as possible, while still being liquid.

3. Filter the chaga

Aim for filling half to one liter when you are finished. When filtering the water from the rest of the powder i use a coffee filter then pore onto a bottle. If you find this tedious get creative, I am looking into different solutions but this is the one I’m using atm 🙂

4. Stabilize the consecrated chaga in the fridge

Put it in the fridge to stabilize, and whenever you want a tea you boil some hot water and add a little shot of your chaga concentrate into the mix. There you have your very own chaga tea medicine to enjoy. You can always use the concentrate to other ingredients that you want to add the power medicine.

Let me know how your coming along, and please comment if you have any questions. 🙂
